We had the most amazing yet humbling day yesterday at our mission in Gichagi. We served over 70 elderly women and over 50 children all under 15 years of age, we provided food packages consisting of rice, sugar, cooking oil, tea leaves, ugali flour, salt, kipande soap, and paraffin for their lamps.
We gave non prescription reading glasses to those we were able to but we noted that most needed to have their eyes tested.
After prayers we all had a Christmas meal together
The children got candy, cookies, and toys.
The generation gap is very evident with ages 20 – 50 missing from the population.
